In the Kimberley region of western Australia, the town of Broome is a beach resort. Along its Indian Ocean shoreline, the white sands of 22km-long Cable Beach offer a spectacular backdrop for sunset camel rides. At Gantheaume Point nearby, dinosaur traces are revealed in the beach's red rocks during low tide. The vantage point for cruises to nearby pearl farms is Roebuck Bay, which is visible from Broome's historic Chinatown.
