A rural area in Australia's New South Wales state is known as the Mid North Coast. The region spans the state's mid-northern coast, starting in Port Stephens, which is located 160 kilometers (99 miles) north of Sydney, and extending as far north as Woolgoolga, which is located 562 kilometers (349 miles) north of Sydney (250 mi). The towns of Bulahdelah, Forster, Tuncurry, Wingham, Taree, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, South West Rocks, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, Bellingen, and Coffs Harbour are among the major cities in the Mid North Coast region, which extends northward from Newcastle. The three largest commercial areas, Taree, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, all include sizable shopping malls, public spaces, and tourist attractions. Semi-major commercial centers include Kempsey and Forster-Tuncurry. North Haven, South West Rocks, Urunga, Gloucester, and Pacific Palms are a few of the smaller communities that are well-liked by tourists. The area, which has a subtropical climate, is well-known for its canals, beaches, and forested and agricultural hinterland. Farming, logging, and tourism are important sectors.
